 Jeep Adventure Track

Chrysler Jeep Century City launches the Jeep Adventure Track

On the 19 September 2009 we held the opening of the Jeep Adventure Track with Chrysler Jeep Century City and Ratanga Golf Driving Range. The weather was on our side and more than sixty vehicles turned up to drive the course. We had over five hundred people attending the fun filled day. Over four hundred wors rolls were consumed. A big thank you goes to Mannie and Chrylser Jeep Century City for sponsoring the development of a 4x4 track. As well as Theuns van Staden, Neil Muller, Mark Esterhuizen and Craig Parsons for overseeing the building of the track over a four week period.
The Jeep Adventure Track is built for standard 4x4’s to enjoy various off road obstacles and to experience the capability of their vehicles. The Maniac track built by Maniac 4x4 – Mark Esterhuizen is for raised Jeeps, with winch and hi lift jack points. That all said, on the day three Suzuki SJ410’s did the Maniac track to the applause of the crowd. The rock section caught a lot of the vehicles but with the assistance of the rescue team and an air jack, all safely made the obstacle after some repacking of rocks.
The mud pool also became a big hit, with the enthusiastic drivers doing their level best to empty all the water from the pool. Many of the unsuspecting bystanders received a showering of mud.

A big thank you goes to Theuns van Staden, Craig Parsons, Mark Esterhuizen, Cristo Liebenburg, Neil Muller and the assistants who marshaled the various obstacles on the Maniac track.
