Jeep Club - Social 6th October 2009
Tuesday afternoon 6th October 2009 we held our first club social at the Jeep Adventure Track Century City. The turnout was good considering the rain all around us.
Approximately 25 people arrived to watch the fun and games as the Commander crawled through the Maniac track.
Then the Cherokee followed inits tracks. It was the first time the Cherokee was put through its paces in the Maniac track and were we impressed. It has a 4'lift and with its latest 4x4 system it crawled and clawed its way through the track.
The Maniac track is rated as a Grade5 so lots of skill and experience is required to take ones vehicle through this track. ( Yes it has been altered since our launch two and a half weeks ago)
Club members enjoyed driving their vehicles through the Jeep Adventure Track, experimenting with their 4 wheel drive systems to see how their vehicles performed through the track. It was great see both husband and wife - Neil and Tracey drove the track. This can only assit them in building their confidence for future 4x4 outings.
The mud pool was there for all to cool down in after finihing the course and all took advantage of it.
The Pajero also went through the track as dusk was approaching. Well done to Wayne who drove the vehicle safely through.
We all retreated for drinks to the Golf Driving Range. A great evening was held by all those that came. See us all at next months social.
